 Mandatory Informational Meeting for all  Fall Athletes and Parents.  A parent or guardian must accompany their athlete to this meeting or make private arrangements with the Athletic Director before the athlete can compete for Berlin High School.  The presentation will take place in the Robert Long Auditorium at 7:00 PM

SAT Registeration reminder for Seniors

Attention Seniors:

Just an important reminder from the School Counseling Department at BHS....if you are planning on applying to college early this fall and you need to take SATs, Berlin High School will be offering the test on the following 3 dates: Saturday, October 1st, Saturday, November 5th, and Saturday, December 3rd.  Regular and Late registration dates to sign up for the tests are as follows:

Score Higher on the SATs with a little help from Revolution Prep


Sign up for SAT test preparation with Revolution Prep....They will be offering 12 week course session for the November 5th SATs starting on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Berlin HS in room 202 for a cost of $499.  The schedule is as follows:

Sept. 17th    Sat.      9 - 1:00pm        Diagnostic Exam
Sept. 20th    Tue.     6 - 9:00pm        Class 1

Reception to Introduce Principal Kennedy to the School Community

Berlin High School will host a reception to introduce Principal Francis Kennedy to the Berlin Community.  Parents, teachers, and interested town residents are welcome attend the reception, which will be held in the Thomas Galvin Media Center on Tuesday Sept. 6 from 7:00 PM -8:30 PM.  Refreshments will be served.

Message from the School Counseling Department Regarding Schedule Changes

Attention Parents and Students:

The BHS School Counseling Department has been working hard, especially with the loss of a department member and another department member on maternity leave, to meet the needs of students requesting schedule changes.  As recently as last week, Mrs. Jill Taradeina has been hired as a new full time counselor and a long term substitute counselor will be hired to fill the position of the counselor on maternity leave.

Amanda Gagnon Hired as Assistant Principal at BHS

 Long-time mathematics teacher, and Math Dept Chair, Amanda Gagnon will assume the Assistant Principal position left vacant since June, when Mr. James Sachs resigned to take a Principal's Position in Waterford, CT.  Mrs Gagnon joins another former BHS Department Chair, Janet Parlato, to complete the BHS administrative team, led by newly hired Principal Francis Kennedy.  Good Luck Mrs. Gagnon!

With the beginning of the school year upon us, motorists are reminded to keep a watchful eye out for children in the roadways. Watch out for school busses and children waiting at bus stops or walking to school. Obey all posted traffic controls and the directions of school crossing guards on Grove Street in East Berlin and Norton Road in Berlin.
 
Speed limits in the areas of all schools will be strictly enforced
